SOE has published a press release concerning the much-anticipated Lost Dungeons of Norrath. Before Legacy of Ykesha came out, and yea, even before Planes of Power came out, the name "Lost Dungeons of Norrath" had been bandied about.
Well, now it's official. 40 new dungeons in 5 new environments. Individually spawned player spaces (instancing, or what they call "Dynamic Action System").

Here are a couple of questions I thought of after reading bout the expansion.
1. Tough all monsters in any of the new Dungeons that come with this expansion pack stay dead once you kill them what if anything presents a group from camping a Dungeon over again after they finish it?
2. What happens to the Toon of someone who goes Ld while in one of these new dungeons and cannot get back in for awhile due to major computer problems, loss of power or other reasons? I am hopefull that such unlucky toons will be moved out to some sort of a graveyard in the zone that you entered the Dungeon from.
If i think of other questions odds are I will post those as well I am interested in seeing what the enviorments are as well the Dungeons themselves are gonna be.
BTW could someone please explain Instancing to me because I don't have any idea what that is.

The way I read it, when you initiate the dungeon portion of the quest, you are ported to your own version of that dungeon. Similiar to the PoJ Flagging except that someone else can come right behind you and initiate the same dungeon for themselves. I think its a great idea since we often have to scramble for camps. This way you just have to form a group and go kill.

Don't know about yall, but Im getting geeked about this expantion. Been hunting in Veksar a lot latley and when we first went down into it, it felt like EQ used to feel. I felt like it was all new again.
Really looking forward to exploring LDoN the same way.

Janari,
I for one have to totally agree with you the Veksar is fun as heck and feels like the dungeons of old and it's also a challenge. The other night after your group left we finally found our way to the mobs and I got Dindel a pair of those gloves and also was happy to see that a lot of the items needed for spell research drop off those mobs.
I also went to Seb the other night and the mobs are harder now and lot more dark blue mobs since the patch to me at lvl 65. This is a good thing!!

I checked out veksar the day after it was made, and just ran around the entrance killing mobs a bit. Surprised that light blue/ blue entrance mobs took more than a couple funeral pyres to kill, so figured I'd better not go exploring too deep in, heh. If anyone would like a necro in their group, I wouldnt mind hitting velksar up before they nerf all the drops and words to hell and back, super nerf some of the mobs, etc, which they will shortly. And yeah, it does have that old dungeon feel to it that seemed to be missing...sort of a guk feeling running on planks and stuff. From the limited amount of the zone I saw, I liked it. Looking forward to the new expansion. ( Soe's reason for making veksar, no doubt....oh well, I'm just a puppet)

How do you get a One armed man out of a tree? You wave at him.
Doofus :p
Hal and I were in that camp last night along with a few other and my modem decieded to take a crap on me. Now armed with a new one I'm good to go and ready :)
Oh and as far as the spell componants go, yeah man they drop really well.
Hey Casi
RESEARCH
hehe I like to tease the Mage. But she was getting a few of those and has already made a few nice spells. Thanks to the drops, Hal no has the group Acumen spell.
I would tell anyone to check it out and hang for awhile. Oh yeah, then named mob that is level 65 in the very back hits like a mofo. He was hitting Jan 700+ without Defensive Disc. One nice thing was that he gave like 4-5% aa on his death.
