Well just to let yall know how I'm doing. Went to the Doctors last week for my one month check up, and there was some good news. I lost 10 pounds! I know, its not a whole hell of a lot, but a start none the less.

He ran blood work on me and I went from a 309 to a 139 with my blood sugar, a marked upgrade for sure. Now to quote Sun, That is something to smile about!! He was happy with the improvements and insted of once a month, has moved me down to once every 3 months.

Hal and I are doing well and have been hoping online a bit more here and there. Still doing a lot of things outside, and I just found out the other week that I have a new hunting spot this year. So with that, Im gonna be out and about a lot between now and November 15th. Heading up this weekend to scope out my new blind, and Im geeked about that. Its 45 acres of land, land locked between farm fields and sits about 5 miles from a wild life preserve. There is only 3 of us hunting it and of the 2 of the 3 of us are gonna be out for opening day!

For the hunters out there, keep your fingers crossed for me. Hopefully will pull a monster out this year....Hell, i'd settle for a fat doe even :green:

Well, take care yall and chat with ya later.

Having been on the weightloss bandwagon before, I know that the first few weeks are going to give you some really positive results. But after that, it's not going to be so easy.

Don't get discouraged, though; you should be happy with 1-3 pounds per week after the initial loss. It's much more important to cut out the fats and sodium, and eat the good sugars from fruits instead of refined sugars from candy etc.

Keep up the good work; Casi and I are also trying to effect better changes in our eating habits.

I'm drinking Michelob ultra now . It takes about two twelve packs to get a buzz, but hey, it's low carb. I've also been trying to eat more chocolate...me and the wife hardly ever eat sweets and I think it might be the intrical piece of the diet puzzle we've been missing.

I have heard that the loss slows down a bit, and not looking forward to that, but Im set on losing some poundage. I have been feeling good since I started eating better, and I love that feeling.

You hit it on the head K2, I have never been a big sweets type of person, but lately I have been really into Fruits like Grapes, Strawberries, and that sort of thing. I do watch any type of refined sugars I eat and have all but cut in half my sodium intake. My problem was Coke. I used to drink a lot of that stuff. Now I drink lots of water.

Had a Burger from Burger King the other day. That was the first fast food burger I have had in a month and a half, and all though it tasted good, I felt like I screwed myself. So for dinner I had a really light fat LEan Cusine meal. Im hooked on those things. Low sodium and low fat.

As far as beer goes /sigh I miss that stuff hehe. Wish you and Casi luck and hope it all works out for ya :)
