I found this on Caster's relam WoW site. Gives the rundown of what your characters stats are and how they affect your toon. Very basic but definately different than EQ in some cases. So without further delay:

CHARACTER ATTRIBUTES, MARCH 24, 2004
There are five main statistics that the player must worry about in World of Warcraft - Agility, Intellect Spirit, Stamina and Strength for each of these stats affects how capable the character is throughout their adventures in the world.

Agility Affects the character's chance of dodging incoming attacks. Also, agility increases the weapon damage for Hunters and Rogues.
Intellect Determines the character's mana points
Spirit Determines the character's health and mana regeneration rate
Stamina Determines the character's health points.
Strength Affects the character's chance to block attacks as well as offers an improved chance to score a critical hit. Also, strength increases the weapon damage for Druids, Mages, Paladins, Priests, Shamans, Warlocks, and Warriors (and, presumably any non-agility based prestige class).

There are five derived statistics that affect characters in World of Warcraft, these are mostly determined by a combination of the character's level, equipment and buffs.

Armor This value determines the damage reduction for the character for physical attacks.
Attack This value determines the character's chance to hit their foe with an attack.
Damage This is the damage from the character's weapon, plus whatever modifiers that character may receive (from strength or agility, buffs, etc.)
Defense This determines the character's chance of avoiding an attack completely.
Power This is a rating of the character's attack power.
