i believe ember picked one up last raid in the deep, and i have as well. i think that the tanks are the only ones we need to make these for, or at least the first ones, so that we only have to worry about one person in the ae, and let the casters burn LIS down. although bane weps aren't a necessity, it might help tank keep agro, which is critical. maybe a pally or sk tank too, whereas they can hold agro via spells, and less melee damage is needed. LIS isn't really on our to do list atm either, but is a viable option on nights when there isn't much up

I like that idea Sleezii. We can start with tanks and work our way out to the rest of the melee. The extra dmg would help and would give the melee of Amichi the means to help with the event instead of just standing around. I tell you want if you are game. I will help get the supplies needed for this to happen. All we need to do is make Yttrium Steel Sheet (http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=8740&menustr=035000000000) and Vial of Quicksliver Tempers (http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_item.php?item=6645). The final combine is no fail and the Yttrium Steel sheet and the Vial of Quicksliver tempers are both droppable. I do think this is very doable for Amichi.

from all i've read, the final combine for the no drop weapon is not no fail, and you would need a smithing skill near 135, i can't remember the trivial on it. and also, the trivial for making the sheet is .> 250, and i've heard that the success rate is like 50%. and the saps are the bottleneck. it's al awful lot of work for a mob we won't see often, and where bane isn't even necessary at all. and make the healing job harder. it's a long fight with just the casters on him, but not especially so. just my opinion though. only seen him dead once, and no bane weps were used at all.

how about we try this. IF I can get the stuff needed for either of the combines we give it a shot. (no presure at all really) I do agree that we get a raid tanks first. I know we don't really need them but "stacking the deck in our favor" is never a bad idea.

After the sap I picked up the other night, I have all the stuff I need to make an attempt. Like Slee said, the sap is the bottleneck, the rarest to come by. My shammy is a GM brewer, so he can make the temper no prob. You can get with me if you want me to make tempers when you get the stuff. I've got over a 1/2 stack or more of all the other stuff you need for it on an alt. And I'm sure I can find a GM smither somewhere to help me out with the steel sheets when it comes to it.
