When you pre-order EQ2, you get some freebies. One of those things is you get a free CD with the character creation program on it.

You can run the program and play around with creating your character for EQ2, and even save your settings so you can load them up for your live characters when it goes retail.

Some people have already reported getting the CDs, most notably at Gamestop. The CDs were supposed to be released the first week of August, but Gamestop and a few other select stores have been doing it ahead of time.

So, do you have the CD?

His machine probably rolled over and died after 200,000 connections trying to get that disk. :blech:

Actually his forum account name from eqii was posted with the Torrent, and he was contacted by folks from Sony and told that what he was doing was piracy and would he please remove it?

So, he backed off and shut it down..

Oh well. I don't preorder games because they are never right on the ship date. Best Buy started selling the Doom 3 preorder a year ago, I think. Predesigning Kharmen2 would have been cool though.

The preorder is $5. If it's worth $5 to you, call your local Gamestop and see if they have it in.

Ok folks here we go...

Torrent Links:

This is in ISO format, for burning to CD.

http://66.90.75.92/suprnova//torrents/2220/EQII-StarterKit2.iso.torrent

This is NRG format, also for burning to CD.

http://66.90.75.92/suprnova//torrents/2220/Everquest%202%20Character%20Creation%20CD%20Re-Seeded%20Complete%20nrg%20format.torrent

You have to burn to CD or run a program that will emulate a CD drive.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, please use Google to do some research, or talk to a geek friend about it.

I'm about 75% finished uploading the .rar file to the server here. BUT you will STILL need to burn it to disc or find CD emulation software.

Some characters I put together. The customization options are mostly lips/chin/cheeks kind of stuff, and not real noticeable except at extremes.

I would have liked more "decoration" options.

Thanks for posting yours that torrent wanted 57 hours to complete... the one you just did (the rar one) is buzzing along at a nice 200KB give or take.
