Discordant Scoriae and Slugworms

I know I'm prolly not the only 1 in guild looking for it so if you happen to get lucky and find some I'm willing to pay a pretty penny for it. Slugworms drop randomly in DS, NC, Bloodfields and Harbinger's. Scoriae drops randomly - extremely rare from any OoW zone excpet DS.

They are for pimping out the new Augs in OoW. Which btw way you need an alchemist or poison maker for these steps, and I just happen to have max skill in alchemy (200 + GM Bag for total of 210).

Have only seen scoriae drop once and someone else looted it. Where do the slugworms drop?

Word on both these items is they are insanely rare and unlikely to improve as they make godly changes to droppable augments.

Itz - it will be interesting to see whether alchemy master + GM seal (210) has a similar failure rate as poison master + GM seal (263). Do you know if the same augments can be manufactured by shaman and rogues or are there different items for each class?? If they are the same augments it seems as though shaman are being discriminated against?? With Posion Making aa's, I can theoreticallly get way beyond a skill of 263.

I haven't looked into it too much, but I believe the same things are made through alchemy or poison. Poison making has been a mostly useless skill for a while, so this is SOE's way of "fixing" it.

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but the poison AAs originally actually decreased your chance of a successful combine. I'd check up on it before spending points on it...

I did see someone offering 40k for Discordant Scoriae today too. =(

have found 1 camp for slugworms, although still rare as hell, its more common there than just slaughtering millions of mobs and never seeing it drop,
also there is a particular named camp where the scoriae is 1 of 3 items on its loot table and is the rare drop ontop of that.

But seriously I know the recipes are the same but surely they had to take into account alchemy caps at 200 not 250. Btw you can get to 230 with a drop from VT (umbical orb or something like that).

I was with Sleezii the other night in Harbingers and got 2 slugowrms to drop in about 30 mins...that was before I knew they went for 60k each. Unfortunately, Sleezii told me that after I informed him of their worth, he went and spent almost all weekend on them without a drop. They drop off dragorns in Harbingers, and it would be worth it to farm the %^*t outa them. The market on these will not go away soon I don't think, seeing as they are used for OoW aug upgrades, which at top level can be disgustingly expensive (500k range for the top line FT augs). As the market tapers off and stabilizes, these will lose their worth. So git yer farmin in now, I say.

Trainer Cyrum in HS seems to have dropped these more commonly than any other mob I've seen yet. Killed him about 12 times now, 8 pairs of the guants of the slavetrader 4 Darkfanged Mnk weapon and 4 slugworms.

Ikaav Slumberer in Bloodfields also seems to be the mob who drops Discordant Scoriae most frequently. Have been involved with killing her about 8 times and seen Scoriae drop 3 times now, sad thing is i failed on the inlay combine for the scoriae i got :cry:

I bought 3 level 68 runes with the Scoriae I got. :) Woot for group Spirit of Sense, new rain spell , and new canni. Now just need 3 more runes to be happy. Next is Sta buff that buffs 40 over cap, then new heal, and lastly new focus. :) I gotta get to farming. :)
