People are playing on a lot of different servers, so please check with them if you'd like to play with other Amichi in EQ2.

In the meantime the guild I hooked up with so that I would have one decided on Najena :(

I'm not complaining, just explaining why I won't be on the Amichi server.

Sounds like you have real strong ties to your new guild ;)

Either way, I figured it would be helpful to decide on something, at least, and Crushbone made the most sense.

I am already on CB as K2 seen today LOL. I seriously hope there is enough interest from the rest of the guild to start Amichi in eq2, would be great to have my family in both games.

I have stronger ties to Amichi. Unfortunately, I'm burned out on EQ1.

I'm the recruiting officer for my EQ2 guild, so I have ties there too. Just bummed that Amichi wasn't there first :(

It doesn't appear that too many people are excited about EQ2 in this guild at this time. Wish it was the same for me.

Glad to see Amichi doing something at least by calling a server. Folks that start now have a chance to play with their buds from here.

Sitting at work today, I thought about EQ II and finally came to the conclussion that I would give it a try. After work, I stopped in at Gamestop and picked it up. I am on the Crushbone server and am under the name Vicc.

First impressions are pretty good of it. I think the tradeskill part of the game could be really interesting and was just getting started on them when the servers appeared to crash.

Anyway, if anyone is looking for me there, feel free to send me a tell.

Yeah I heard the servers were down earlier. I noticed there were some folks in the bazaar complaining about it.

I've got a level 4 priest on Crushbone named Kalthanan.

(They give you level 3 just for learning how to open a bag, or something.)

Anyone else making an evil race? Come on over to the dark side. I have my Iksar going right now, but I will probably make a good char sometime here.

I'd also like ot put in real quick , that I'm in a guild for now, but if enough Amichi are playing EQ2 and what not of course I'll join the chapter over here, if not, you're welcome to come aboard this guild and use the Ventrilo server, kinda got hooked on Voice comms personally hehe. Oh, and celgorn's a bard now! yay

There is now a Merreck of Cazic-Thule (lvl 5 high elf priest) on the Crushbone server....Lars made me do it, I swear! :P

/em puts foot in mouth :yuck: :P

Pet and I both made toons on CB and joined Yummy and Whee's guild. Although we haven't had much time to play you can find us there (at some point or another) under the names Dannalyn (duh) and Petomonk or something like that (guess ya wouldn't have to be too smart to figure out he made a monk?!).

I did NOT make another cleric this time around though. I played my cleric for years and did not entertain other alts past lvl 30 so this time I thought I would try something else and made a mage. So no more blaming Danna for the deaths!!!

Posted this before, but it must have gotten deleted when the page was down...My sister made a wood elf fighter named Artemas (for those who haven't heard :P) so if you're on the CB server and see her on feel free to bug her :D

the char is on my account so you'll never see us on at the same time.

Catweazel is now alive and well on CB server - and of good alliance (Qeynos). Capped at level 6 for opening a few bags and finishing a bunch of quests. Tradeskilling is impressive as are the quests. Have not bothered grouping yet and I doubt I will be in much hurry to do levelling. Far too much to enjoy in the world. Think I will focus on tradeskilling at least until Amichi decides whether to move or form a guild.

Definitely more skill required in combat and initial impressions overall are that EQ2 is extremely deep and long lasting. Have seen nothing in the way of instability or bugs although some of the forums hint at bugs in some quests.

Death is no big deal along with the over hyped experience debt. If you play 12 hours a day, I can see where exp debt is a pain, and I can also see the frustration of dying within a crappy pick up group. Anyone who has grouped in WOS though will find no more or less frustration in EQ2.

I'm not leaving EQ1 until it falls apart or Amichi / friends decide to move. Based on experiences so far, I am also unlikely to try WoW as EQ2 has everything and more that EQ1 has.

Anyone still playing EQ2??

I am having a blast solo. No downtime, tough but rewarding enough to keep me coming back. I can play for an hour and achieve something. The quest system is extremely well done. Sony has done a good job with balance recently. Lots of variety for soloers, small groups and big groups. Tradeskilling has declined a little, but I can understand reluctance to flood the market with good loot. A lot of people's expectations were unrealistic in my mind (the Diablo2 crowd for instance). Some of the ooc chatter still indicates that there are still far too many idiots, but they will eventually be filtered out.

I still have no intentions yet of leaving EQ1....but I have sat for 2 hours in EQ1 LFG without a single tell or seeing a critical class LFG - and that unfortunately is pathetic.

Right now I am very happy....EQ1 for raiding and guild/friend groups (hopefully)...EQ2 for solo and an hours relaxation.

I haven't been on EQ2 in awhile, but I have a lvl 17 (almost 18) Cleric (Merreck of course) and there is a lvl 18 Crusader named Larsay :P. If anyone wants to hook up with Lars and I in EQ2 just send either one of us a PM or IM or email and we can get together.

I still play in a tore up time zone and am banned to lonelyness but might see ya on a weekend

The char I am playings name is Bucko (if your wondering deviant was blocked and "Buck" came up as a random select name...i added "age" for "buckage" and the gms there thought it was offensive and made me change it...i cant imagine why! lol)

I started playing EQ2 a couple of months ago and am finding it pretty fun. I like the graphics and it has some cool quests. My char is on Permafrost.

I gave up.

It became basically a solo / individual game, populations were very low. The quest system, graphics, mob aggro design, content and many many other features are vastly superior to EQ1, but in the end, with no one to share it with, you might as well play PacMan.

I hooked up with this guild in there that is pretty cool. They try to do raids a few times a week, and the higher levels will mentor down with the lower levels like me. I do a lot of soloing, but I am doing a fair amount of grouping now too.

Fonyodii
01-11-2008, 07:13 AM
The Fonyodii/Yodi combo moved to EQ2 while Yodi was deployed in '05. We maxed both toons out on the Butcherblock server and Yodi has since deployed again. Not much else to say about gaming these days. I did watch the Amichi videos on YouTube and figured I'd see what you guys were up to. Yodi has internet access but can't game so its kind of pointless. Glad to see you guys are still around.
