We contacted SOE and spoke with their VP of Marketing, Scott McDaniel, to get the lowdown on rumors of a CD-Version of EQOA.
Scott confirmed that there are plans to introduce a CD version for people who could not obtain it via download.
It will most likely not be available in stores before or on the day of release. Downloading is still the best bet for players to get a working copy on launch day.
Since Legacy of Ykesha can be largely downloaded over time between now and release he suggested that the CD only be considered for people who are on slower connections that can't take the multiple downloads.
EB Games are offering the title for pre-order already, but there is no set price as yet, nor a confirmed release date. Of course having a CD version always makes it much easier to re-install should you have to at a later date.
