Please post here your ideas on what we could use as far as officers in EQ2.

Also post here what you would be intrested in doing to help us along as a guild in EQ2. If you are intrested in being an officer post what you want to do and as long as it is reasonable you got it.

As of now catweazel is the only officer and that was simply by default because he was highest level, plus I also grouped with him and coresponded with him alot. He knows alot about EQ2 and is an information source to help others out. I want all officers to have a job. The only job I see we need right now is a promotions/status officer, so I am handing off the responsibility of promotions and guild status to him. Right now that only involves him screening folks for patron status to insure the guild exp isnt compromised by people who arent intrested or dont do writs. This will be critical once we have more than 12 patrons for raising the guild level. I have all mains and some alts flagged as patrons right now, dont be upset down the road if he takes patron status from you once we have more than 12 patrons.

We need a recruiting officer and a web design officer.

Rori and I have been discussing and I think that if it is ok I would like to try being the Raid and event officer until we have more people that we can divi out the event thing too .. besides we have to be honest that we dont have the players atm to even consider raiding.

I figure I would start by researching a few of the higher level quests that folks would prolbably like to do and that we as a guild my be able to help each other with even if it means a few folks having to mentor ( atleast till we get closered in level range).

Rori would like to be the recruiting officer since she is on more than I but I would basically be helping her as much as she need(since she is not 100% comforatble doing by herself since she is new to this kind of game). She also wants to look into the Web design thing but there are no promises there. I was doing some research last night and I think it could be pretty tough.

If you have any suggestions on where you would like to see us going for either recruiting or Raid/events please post or send me(Jardaen) or Rori a tell or what ever.

We will post what we think would be good to start with as far as recruiting goes in the next day or so. I have been researcing kind of what other guilds are doing and what to make sure we have a good base rather then go willy nill all over the place.

For the website my suggestion would be to use a page or section within this one (assuming that is cleared with the officers / K2 / Rams). That gives us a headstart and lets eq1'rs and eq2'ers see what each other are doing rather than put our vast numbers into a lonely site all on their own....

We have a section hear the problem is getting folks access to it so far. Also it does take skill to manipulate these boards and I don't think it is real fair to ask K2 to do more work than he already does, but we will see what happens. But as a second solution Rori and I were looking at well a bunch of stuff and found that SoE has a free wep page thing then for like $2.99 ( not sure if that is one person or if every member has to do it) you can get a more advanced site (again not that I condone giving SoE anymore money than necessary)... I will do some more research but if you want to check it out. Go to www.stationplayers.com and click on free site or premium site. They both sound like they would work if we cannot get something worked out otherwise. Just to add a bit more to this it seems to me that each person has to add the 2.99 upgrade but it really seems to only benifit those that use. Gives them some extra things they can see or do from website. Everyone has the ability to post and what not depending on how we set the permissions and what not. The guild leader has to go and start the form page. And then I believe he can designate someone after that to create or set up the guild form from there.

The website is made. Nothing has been organized on it. All officers have full access to manipulate it as they see fit.

Being the web Officer Jardean will be able to decide how he wants to do access rights for members and officers.

Good find on the free website Jard...saves a ton of work for us stupid folk that have a hard enough time just getting EQ installed on a computer and working most of the time.

Looks like it will be easy to setup and each member of guild uses their ingame log in to access. It will stay updated with character levels and stats in guild automaticaly.

The way I read it the $2.99 a month is something each person can decide on for theirself, if they want. It appears that you will have more options available if you fork out more cash. I personaly dont think I will pay the extra...all we needed was a forum, we got that plus a bunch...I dont need to see 10,000 views of my character.

I just read through the premium $2.99 again... is that the package that gives free eq1 and all the diffrent upgrades to your account? If so Ive already paid for that. Shrug, I dunno, I can only look at a website 5 minutes or so before I lose intrest in reading.
