I would like to announce after many months of additional effort I am now formally qualified in the following tradeskills:
Smithing 300
Tailoring 300
Fletching 300
Jewelcraft 300
Poison Making 300
Tinkering 300 (plus Level 7 trophy)
Pottery 300
Brewing 300
Baking 300
With 8 other trophies at level 6, Salvage 3, some Tailoring Quests for Master's armor and a bunch of Mastery AA's there presumably is nothing that I cannot make, and I would be disappointed if you go anywhere else for anything other than certain cultural recipes.
Thanks are not enough to offer all those of you who donated along the way with supplies. Hopefully over the coming months there is something I can offer in return now that I only have 8 trophies to max and my time should have more availability to it!!
For the history books, Pottery was the most ridiculous to skill up with almost nothing of any value able to be made beyond level 250, with most recipes requiring expert foraging or leet chanting skills (thanks Dark / Dregg). Baking was probably the most tedious as there are only a couple of recipes that will actually get you to 300. Tinkering was the most expensive at about 2+ million plat.

I was expecting bad things with Tailoring, Fletching and Smithing, but the rumours turned out to be poor.
Tailoring was probably enhanced by the release of the Sunshard recipes for TBS, although starting out, Spider Silk filters to 190 was a blast killing spiders in Gorukar Mesa (easily 2000-3000 platinum an hour in this camp). After Corathus Entrails (a bi product of camping Gnome Bolts - again a profitable side business to support my addiction approaching 10000 platinum an hour) I eventually did the Masters armor and Symbols quest in SkyFire and worked on those. 3 days straight killing Nightmare spiders finished it off.
Smithing took me to zones I had rarely seen including Acrylia's Ville, Velks Lab (got a Lute of the Howler which sold for 40000plat) and the Coterie Castle (got Beast H2H weapons which sold for 5k a time) in Tenebreous and it was a lot of fun to see named and drops I had previously only heard about. Yttrium from the Grey and The Deep (including 50 red capes from the Shrink Wand mob) helped Master's armor along with Sunshard pebbles and Ore again. I actually finished up on the quest item, Pure bar of enchanted Velium for the last few points.
Fletching was fun, and perhaps more so for non elven characters. Killing Aliens in Hollowshade Moor and Twighlight Sea and The Scarlett Desert was followed by Treant killing in Blightfire and the Mesa for POR bows. Getting the horse hoofs and battle blades required patience, but now I sell the Horse Hoofs for 1500plat each whenever I run by and get some.
I know people have mixed opinions about camping mobs, but I have spent a lot of time crawling through un-populated zones with very little risk of death (probably a huge advantage that nothing sees me) and have explored vast areas of the game in the name of Tradeskilling. It was a welcome break from the experience, raiding and grouping game.
Grats Cat !!
I know how insane you were going at some points hehe

If anyone needs advice or tips on what worked for me (your mileage may vary) I would be glad to pass on what I learned. I did have a fairly big advantage with Tinkering that I could make AAAA boxes for profit to help the tradeskill funds, but as many who know me or saw me logged in, there is no getting away from insane camps at times, and if camping and killing the same mobs over and over and over for days is not your idea of enjoyment, then Tradeskilling is probably not for you. Even the parts for the AAAA boxes are a long drawn out camp, as many of those I forced into doing it for their boxes will agree to.
As far as other tips of the trade, having 8 (almost empty) ten slot giant containers at the start of tradeskilling as well as an idea of where to get ALL the ingredients you will need for a run is an absolute must. Both Crescent Reach and Abysmal Sea offer one stop shopping for 95% of all recipes, with my strong preference for Crescent Reach (EQTraders actually has recipe / merchant lists). A great example of this applies to Misty Thicket Picnics where you can essentially buy and prepare enough ingredients on one floor for 100 combines. As you will need to make about 2000 the time saving factor is huge.
I would like to also recommend you talk to Thirstin, as he knows of ways to Tradeskill sequentially and at drastically reduced cost. It won't eliminate the camping, but you might find it a suitable alternative.
