The whole Cultural Armor line has received a huge boost with SOF, so much so that demand for armor, symbols and augs will likely increase greatly.
What this means in other words is that YOU need to be keeping track of which player made armor might help YOU.
The drop rates for most of the components that YOU need have been increased so much that storing these items in the Guild Bank will become impractical for all but the rarest of drops.
Clockwork Gnome Bolts are no longer rare.
Mechanotablets are no longer rare.
Tradeskill items for your armor are rare depending on the level of the armor, but there are lots of 300 Tradeskillers in the guild now.
Items that YOU need include:
Exquisite Silk
Porous Loam
Tantalum Ore
Exquisite Marrow
Exquisite Animal Pelt
There are now 3 new AAAA boxes which can be made to go with the Cultural Armor revamp.
A "Basic" AAAA for Chronal and Discordant Stones (ABAA) (OOW zones)
A regular AAAA for Bazu and Last Blood Stones (DODH zones)
A gold AAAA for TSS stones (AGAA)
An Opal AAAA for SOF stones (AOAA)
I have been making the AAAA boxes free for guildees ever since we started in Demi (I expected you to provide the gnome bolts), I provided the 20k in other materials.
The cost of materials for TSS and SOF has gone up and I will need to see what the market is like. It is likely the Guild will not need to worry about the new AAAA boxes for some time.
I would strongly suggest that you find out what kind of Aug you want in your cultural armor soon and then store what you need. Here is a list that might help: AUG LIST (http://www.gamesnet.org/KyrosKrane/Tradeskills/DoDH_Augs.htm)

Guess I am going to have to start working on my smithing so that I can make halfling amor as I don't know anyone that can make it for me. Any suggestions besides follow the guide on EQtraders.com. I am not so sure how up to date it is.

If you are starting from zero you can actually just ignore the guide and totally destroy earlier zones that have a lot of humaniod mobs. Yeah Crushbone! The new cultural stuff drops really common at the lower levels. Also you might as well work on tailor too cause a ton and a half of those will drop too. Maybe 2 tailor for every 1 smithing. This will cost you some money and time. I took a cheaper way, but I had a ton of TS stuff in the bank when I started my early runs. You can also use the sunshard dust, pebbles and ore that drop too. Some zones you can combine farms, like Steppes ore off the gnolls. Steppes ore is a really nice triv 262 recipe, those gnolls also drop the new Cult ores and sunshard. One camp, three skill up paths.

Have my research up to 245 unmodified now. So hoping I can take over the items for Last Blood augs that sis was doing. Let me know if you need anything.
That also applies for anything you need researched. Especially since they changed it so that researchers can make any researched spell...you don't need a necro to make a necro spell anymore.
