Ok wierd IL convergence here. I'm from Ottawa, IL biggest little hick town in its area (90 miles SW of chicago). Speaking of Lincoln, there was a Lincoln/Douglas debate in Ottawa and they still celebrate it to this day. not much else to celebrate there. The IL river flows through it but its a polluted mess full of barge traffic. Was a fun, safe place to grow up. My mom still doesnt lock her doors at night. But when i turned 18 I headed West young man and havent looked back, except to join family on the holidays.
