Blacksmithing

My Blacksmithing is currently 288. Unfortunately, I ran out of ore! If anyone has some extra ore around they could spare, it would be greatly appreciated. I was informed there are no barb culture makers here, so figured it was time to get to work and knock out BS and some quests. Thanks in advance!

I also am working on smithing as i have found no Drakkin master smiths with salvage 3 and mastery 3 on the server, i think my skill is at around 260 atm. This means that for another 12 skillups or so i can use rhenium ore. Ive been farming some and buying some, but any that you have and dont need would be greatly appreciated.

Dloran does Drakkin armor. If you send him a tell he tells you all the races he does its a bunch. He seems to be reasonable too. I have had him make me a couple things for myself and Jordi. You can in game email him and he has the stuff for you in a short time... depends on when you contact him and he gets the message I would assume. That does not necessarily mean you can't finish your smithing because I am sure you can make some good cash if you sell the stuff in the bazaar.

Ive used dloran in the past as well to make cultural with Soluble loam. But i approached him about making some with a porous that i have and he told me his Drakkin smith does not have salvage and only has mastery 1. In fact he told me if it was him he wouldnt try to make his own cultural out of porous b/c the risk was too great with out salvage 3 and mastery 3. I thought it showed great strength of character telling me that and i have a lot of respect for him and his judgement. He didnt have to tell me, he could have just taken my money and failed. But the point is that there still is no drakkin smith on the server with both of those that i know of. So if i want my armor made im gonna have to do it myself.

I agree he seems to be a really good individual which actually kind of refreshing after somethings that people do in this game.

The failure rate on making cultural armor is close to 50% assuming you have no Talioring/Smithing mastery.

I would STRONGLY advise you to get Mastery 3 in Tailoring/Smithing if you want to minimize the heartbreak of doing a 500,000plat combine and failing it.

In fact - the armor combines are also influenced by the extra 3% you can get from maxxing your trophy, although I realize for many people that is unlikely to be a torture they pursue, and it explains why a little known Luclin named in Akheva is perma spawned for his "shears".

One final comment -- the sublime symbols can be made with Tinkering/Smithing or Tailoring and it is strongly recommended that you do not use Porous Loam for making symbols but instead use Marrow or Fluids which are significantly cheaper.

I have finally finished my Smithing/Tailoring/Tinkering Trophies to level 7 and am currently finishing Mastery. Now if only we could get some Gnomes in the guild I wouldn't feel so ronerry.

Titanium
Tungsten
Cobalt

There is one more, but cant remember the name atm. My skill is currently 295! 5 more to go!

Well i did some smithing today and now tungsten is what i need also, so as soon as you hit 300 Khyten lemme know, your way closer than me =P

Ok this post is WAY late but I wanted to let the guild know that i am now a Master Smith and a Master Tailor. As far as i know, im the only Drakkin Master for either on the server that has mastery 3 and salvage 3. So any of you Drakkins that need cultural armor made ill be more than happy to make it for you. Unfortunately there arent a lot of Drakkin in the guild, but your baby Drakkin alt might like some when he/she gets up to lvl too. Anyway, now ya know, and you all know im always around. Shoot me a tell if ya need something.
