Whether or not you have hosting, you can always just register the domain and have it for when you do decide to get some web space. Just a thought.

So after getting the domain you gotta get someone to host it eh? How do you find that and how much does that cost?

I pay $18 a year to have my domain registered through godaddy.com (http://www.godaddy.com). Web hosting varies, most are, like, 4 + bucks a month... but usually you get billed for the whole year, and the price goes down depending on how many years you pay for in advance.

I know someone that has several domains and web hosting site at godaddy all together I believe he pays $100 a year and that includes several email addies that he uses all the time.

I wouldn't use Godaddy for hosting. I've heard bad things about them. Hostgator is all right.
